It was drizzling.
Drizzling! It was the damndest thing. Anyone would have thought some petty water had driven her into this... this... city! But no. Cassandra was no so easily scared - thought she was glancing around nervously at the passing crowds, pulling her coat tighter around her every once and a while - but it was that storm out lurking in the center of the island. She'd seen the thunder, and had barely escaped getting swept away by the gusts. So, it was better here where she could break into someone's house and cower in the basement, instead of out there...
But she was still terrified.
It had been a while - not long enough - since the morph had been in a town, let alone a city. She had taken precautions and put on her trusty, nondescript black trench coat, wrapping her tail tight around her so it wouldn't show. And that bandana, worn and faded as it was, had a tendency to neatly hide her freakish ears. Now, her paranoid tendencies and occasional telekinesis? Not quite as easy to disguise.
But they wouldn't care. They all saw the clouds, now, all gathered their groceries and pokemon and RAN! Ran from the shops - that one in particular. Cass slowed her anxious pace, tilting her head as she gazed in the shop window. Someone's name was printed on the front, a family run company or something. As she pressed her face against the cool glass, she smiled. Empty. And secure.
With a quick flick of her wrist ( and flex of her mind ), the lock on the door clicked open. Taking a last glance around, she pushed open the door warily and ducked inside. She had no desire to turn on the lights, least she alert some neighbors or citizens or cops. Quickly and quietly, she ducked into the back of the shop, and braced herself against the back wall.
God, she hated the city.

Wasn't about to decide how important Elijah's health was to him. Valdemar was ashamed that he was not able to help his companion at this time. Anxiously glancing from the city streets to the old pokeball his hand (or the feathers that surrounded it), the morph tried to muster courage.
Through a line of difficult steps, he had obtained something long sleeves. That could hide some of his deformities. If he needed his hands--which he did--he'd have a dilemma.
The wind blew in, an ominous taste on it. The flying instincts within told him of bad weather. Wrapped his fingers around the ball and it appeared to be consumed by his feathers. Bad weather, Elijah ill...
Reminisced on his last placement in a city.
But he had to. He had to.
Taking a deep breath, he unfolded his thin legs, securing Elijah's ball, and covering his arms and hands the best he could. Slowly, cautiously, he approached the city. People.
But they began to flee from the wet and Valdemar became exposed. Tried to follow their examples, but he fled in the directions of an anonymous character (whom seemed to have great desire to hid themselves as well). But she disappeared into their private residence.
Valdemar was now more nervous than ever.

It had started raining. Raining woke him up, he didn't like rain. Fletcher managed to sleepwalk himself into a nearby building, and rest peacefully in a corner and sleep. Snoo. Snoo. Snoo. The morph didn't care, he was tired. He'd only slept 17 of his 18 hours of sleep needed, and he was determined to do it.
Suddenly a noise. The noise entered his ears and awoke him. What was with all the damn interruptions? Psychic 'eyes' opened and with his purple-colored vision, he watched. A figure with ears and tail walked by him, into the back. Curious little creature as he was, he shut his eyes tighter then normal, and made a slight 'hrrrrmmmm' noise and disintegrated into thin air, and appeared right above the other morph, who seemed to be scared. "Youu. Whooooo?" he said with a sleepy voice, the end of the 'ooo' trailing off into almost a snore. A yawn escaped as well, as he stared down at her.
Was she psychic too? She seemed to give off the kind've aura.

Creak. MOOOOOAAAN.
The wind had begun to pick up, pulling at the buildings and trees with invisible hands. Speaking of, she rummaged through the items on the distant shelves as she passed by them, eyes giving off a purple glow that, in this darkness, lit up the area around her.
Hssssh. Huuuum.
The sound, but more importantly presence, of someone else caused her to spin around to face the storefront. She let go of her mental hold on the items quickly, catching the eye of skinny man through the pane of glass. Some of the pans rattled back down onto the shelves noisily, one of the jars of something or other tumbling and crashing onto the ground. She swore mentally, tensing as she glanced down at the new mess. Once she glanced back up to the man ( seemingly a trainer? Though something wasn't right. Why couldn't she place it? ), something roared in her ears and in her... awareness. Above her one appeared.
Appeared!
"Gah!" She stumbled and fell backwards, into a pile of boxes that was piled against the back wall. The tumble had caused her bandana to shift dangerously - something she did so with her hands and as to avoid suspicion. If she was lucky, her unusual features hadn't shown, or if they had, nobody had seen. After all, Mr. Hey Look at Me I'm a Fucking Morph with Mind Powers! should be capturing all the attention.
"Youu. Whooooo?"
"The hell...?" Cassandra glanced around nervously. Then, she went back to glaring at this... guest. "Shh, will you! Unless you'd like to get incarcerated. Hurry up and stop floating before someone sees you," She snapped, getting up out of the pile for boxes and junk she'd fallen into. As she was brushing off the dust, she remembered the passerby she'd seen. Under her breath, she muttered "Shit shit shit-!", before motioning to the equally anxious traveler to HURRY UP AND GET IN OR MOVE ALONG, BUDDY.
Because she'd prefer two freaks as company, rather than cops or Rockets.

Surprised as the mysterious figure--which had become figures (maybe someone was already inside?)--motioned for him to come inside. Not waiting for the hospitality to run out, he quickly let himself in.
The thin morph glanced around briefly, trying to keep it inconspicuous. "Thank you," Valdemar shivered, the air conditioner's cold foreign to him. About to ask why it was so cold all of a sudden, but decided it would sound foolish.
After taking in his surroundings, he took in the two other taking shelter. It was then that he realized the third person in the room was floating. God only knows how that went unnoticed. The more shocking features were the abra-like details. Tried to conceal his (slight) excitement and amazement.
He'd never met another pokemorph. Well, not one he could remember. As things pieced together, he realized the girl could also be a pokemorph.
Or else this was a trap.

"The hell...? Shh, will you! Unless you'd like to get incarcerated. Hurry up and stop floating before someone sees you,"
The morph raised one of his brows, staring down at this peculiar girl. He could tell now that she was definitely a morph, especially from how she was flipping out on how he'd be caught. Okay. Why was she hiding it? "Why would that happe....." snore. Wake up. "...n.. i sleeee...." yawn "p here every niiiight. You see...." He'd started talking again, but this time he didn't drift off, his senses picked up something else. And closed eyes moved in the direction of the window. Another? Mind showed him of another, oddly shapen and most likely another Morph. He was also trying to conceal something. What was with these people?
He said nothing but just stared, when something else caught his attention. zzzzzpp. An Abra appeared on top of his head, sleeping. "Aaaaah there you went....." zzz POP "...Slothhh!" he gave a smile which eventually opened into a yawn, but drool dribbled down from the tired morph's mouth. Snooore. Snooooooore. SNOOOOOOOOOOORE.

"Thank you,"
Cassandra gave him an offhanded glance, looking over the man now that he was inside. "Don't mention it." She went to the right of the room, trying to find a chair or two. "No, really. Don't tell anyone." Wait. Were those... feathers? Had he slipped? She stopped, and turned to face him. "So." Her voice was low, soft and nervous. "You're one too...?"
She sighed.
The Mewtwo mix rolled her eyes, letting her tail relax and slip out from under her coat. "Well, if we're all freaks here, what's there to hide?" She gave a bitter chuckle, pulling two chairs over from the corner of the room with a soft purple glow of her eyes. She turned to the bird morph, holding out her hand to shake. "Hi! I'm a sin against nature. What's your name?"
The Abra morph babbled out something, snoring to himself and trying to talk. She watched for a moment, before nodding unsurely to herself. "Yeaaaaaah alright then... Moving along." She looked to Valdemar again. "But really. Who are you."
Never one for pleasantries.

Brief sigh of relief.
He rolled up the sleeves of his long shirt to his wrist. It was easier. Let his dark blue feathers flair out, almost like stretching.
Always used cruel words towards his own handicap, but hearing it from someone else (or maybe it was just hearing it out loud) made it feel harsh.
For a moment, when she asked who he really was, he had a moment of hesitation. "I'm Valdemar." He said, feel awkward. Introductions weren't really something he'd been accustom to..

[POKEMORPH PARTY YEAHHHH i gave in]
A soft bark led him in the direction of the grocery store. A nudge here would tell him to change directions, left or right. A tug on his clothes would let him know it was safe to cross the street. The world was darkness for him, and unable to see a single thing he wandered blindly with his "helper" by his side. But he was determined to do something by himself today.
A glance up at the sky was old habit, nothing more. He could feel the tension in the air, the feeling that meant a storm was coming. He took a deep breath, walking calmly straight ahead, until finally his face bumped into a wall. He groped the solid object blindly, trying to find a handle. There. He slowly opened the door, unsure of where he was entering. His umbreon ears pricked up. Voices.
He followed the voices through the pitch black to where they were finally at their loudest. He bumped into somebody; a girl? Was it a girl? This was where the female voice had been coming from. He backed away roughly, trying to find a space that wasn't occupied. "Look, I have no idea where the fuck I am, and I don't care. Just tell me whether it's started raining or not."
He reached into his pocket, fingering Empress's ball. Please find somewhere safe to stay... He thought silently.
