the outside &&
Even upon just seeing Forscythe, you notice his blindness. Horrible scars peek out from underneath the edges of the bandages, reminders of whatever had happened to him. The umbreon ears stick up out of his once-blond head, a hole cut in his pants for his tail to stick out. Many people whisper as he walks around, and once in a while he'll meet their terrified gaze; though he remains sightless, his stare spooks them. They look away, embarassed and guilty. What makes him so un-human? It probably wasn't even his fault.
His more human features include messy black hair that covers part of his bandaged eyes. His clothes, dark and depressing, are totally black, with golden rings around them. It doesn't help much that he dresses like that, but he doesn't like cheery colors. Besides, Empress picked out the clothes herself, and he doesn't want to scorn her by wearing others.
However, underneath his clothes the strangeness continues. On his shoulders and outer thighs are the rings an umbreon carries; if he thinks hard enough, they can glow very faintly. Underneath his bangs, the same kind of ring hides. And underneath his gloves are clawed hands. He doesn't have the power to keep them sheathed, so he hides behind his dressings.
the inside &&
angry;; forscythe has a hot temper, getting offended at the slightest things. he raises his voice very often, and has a tendency to throw things at where he assumes you are. despite having wonderful aim, he's always a little off. it's questionable whether he does it on purpose or whether something inside is holding him back.
silent;; for the most part, the umbreon 'morph remains silent. if you start bitching him out, he'll most likely say nothing because he knows his own faults. he likes people to stand up to him, and congratulates them when they do.
lonely;; some part of him still longs for the companionship empress can't give him. he loves her to death, but she can't love him as a human might. but he distances himself from people, afraid he'll accidentally hurt them.
low self-esteem;; all in all, forscythe hates who he is. he's too scared to change himself, believing he'll only fail miserably. he's content to just drink a lot of beer and wallow in his own misery. he never smiles these days.
the past &&
Forscythe remembers nothing of his past, but he was born a sweet sunny blonde to two hippies in Lavender Town, Kanto. Every day he visited the pokemon's graves, scattering flowers among the fallen and the damned. He was always kind, always generous, never cruel. He had a best friend, the family vulpix that had been nicknamed Empress. He had the perfect life.
Of course, he set out on his journey with Empress. She refused to let him go without her. They had a good start, and when he reached Viridian City, he used the Fire Stone he'd bought back in Celadon. Of course, that was where it went wrong. He entered the gym with Empress by his side, confident in his abilities. As soon as he stepped in, he was jumped by thugs. They kidnapped him, stealing all of his pokeballs, subjecting him to their experiments.
Of course, that was how he became a pokemorph.
At some point they broke out, Empress at his side. Through it all they hadn't taken her. While inside, he'd gone half-mad, swearing that if they took her he'd kill himself, and they didn't want to lose another valuable experiment. He and Empress began wandering around, slowly earning enough money to keep themselves alive.
And then the scientists found him. They set a persian on him, and Empress was in her pokeball. As soon as he pushed the button, the persian leaped and clawed his eyes out. And that was where everything went blank. He collapsed, smacking his head on a rock, bleeding nearly to death. Empress had fought off their attackers, but he was dying. But somebody saved him; a girl with a sweet voice who wrapped his eyes with a soft cloth. She cleaned the blood off of him, but all Forscythe can remember is biting her arm in a frenzied panic after he woke up, then fleeing into the night.

empress is a reminder of forscythe's old days, before his amnesia. she's his old friend, and the only thing he remembers clearly. he remembers playing with her as a little kid, and when he first set out on his journey, and even evolving her with that fire stone. she's stuck by him though thick and thin, and would give her life to save him; it's hard to find a pair as close-knit as they are.
