There is close to no where to hide in a place like this. The tiniest shards of quarts and shell fragments go down until they hit the bed rock and the plants are few, far apart and no good for anything bar holding dunes together. Not even the nearby water was deep enough to hide anything larger than a Goldeen for very long. Someone or something would have seen the strange new creature plow into the sand from afar no matter now hard it had tried to stay away from every other living thing.
It had not meant to come here. It had wanted to find somewhere remote; somewhere closed off from the rest of the world to build up it's power for the final assault it would one day launch on those who hard thought they were right in letting it survive in the first place. A cave would have been ideal. It's landing was a simple miscalculation mixed in with the exhaustion that usually followed a larger scale battle of some sort.
This particular battle was within the creature.
Mewtwo hadn't thought to build up it's shields before flying over the land full of fully aware pokemon and humans. With hundreds, if not thousands of thoughts battering at it's open mind it had lost the concentration needed to fight gravity with telekinesis.
Not bothering to shake away the sand clinging to it's body the psychic kept cold violet eyes squeezed shut in some hope of gaining control again. Shields were easy to build up when it was alone without the stress of having to separate one mind for hundreds of others. Even so it had to be done now or else it would stay vulnerable on the beach.
Mewtwo took a few short but steadying breaths, holding both paws against it's head as it struggled for control.
